Food Photography Tips – Minimal Top Shot

Posted on November 18, 2019 by admin

Due to popular demand for Dishtag food photography tips, we have created a new series on IGTV, Eye on Composition, to give you hints and tips you need to create great memories of your favourite dining experiences. In each episode, our Creative Director, Raffaella, will be showing you how to take the perfect food photo with your phone using the composition guidelines of the Dishtag app.

In the first episode, we begin with the easiest and simplest composition – minimal top shot. This circle shaped guideline allows you to┬átake a clean, well-proportioned food pic without using props. Raffaella also goes through the complimentary colour theory, which makes your photos more interesting and eye-catching.

If you have any food photography questions you would like us to answer, let us know in the comment section below. You can also download the Dishtag app on App Store or Play Store to put our tips into practice.

Enjoy!
